Fast and effective starter

Agro-Start C-plex is an agro-liquid rich in phosphorus designed for soil application in order to encourage root growth and help the plant resist to stress better. The auxin contained in the Agro-Start C-plex formulation stimulates root establishment. Agro-Start C-plex supplies phosphorus, potash, boron and zinc in forms that are assimilable for the plant to ensure robust root establishment. Potassium and zinc are chelated with the innovative C-plex chelating agent, a small carbon-based molecule that improves absorption and promotes transport of nutritional elements in plants. Agro-Start C-plex provides nitrogen that is quickly made available to support foliar growth. With Agro-Start C-plex, the plant establishes itself quicker, therefore favouring a more vigorous foliar development. For more information on Agro-Start C-plex, consult your agronomic adviser.

Phosphorus is an integral part of metabolic energy (ATP), cell walls and the genetic information (DNA) of the plant. It plays an essential role in cellular multiplication and photosynthesis, hence its importance in the early stages of the plant’s development. Potassium promotes photosynthesis. It contributes to the transport and build-up of sugars. It also takes part in filling out grains, favours better water usage and nitrogen optimization, and increases resistance to frost, drought, and disease. Zinc is crucial for the synthesis of auxins and stimulates plant growth. It also favours the synthesis of acids and proteins. Boron is essential to stabilize cellular membranes (greater nutrient absorption), pollen fertility, fruit set, synthesis of hormones, production and transport of sugars, and calcium assimilation. IBA encourages growth and is especially effective for the formation of roots.

The exceptional performance of potassium

proKa® is a nutriliming agent rich in calcium, potassium, sulphur, magnesium, and minor elements. It is designed to correct the pH, enrich the soil with more than 5% potassium sulphate and supply optimum conditions for high yields. proKa® is recommended when soil analysis shows a need for lime and potassium supplementation.

Since most plants perform better in a pH ranging from slightly acidic to slightly alkaline, lime application on acidic soil is a prerequisite for the optimal use of nutrients. proKa® is highly rich in calcium hydroxide, which reacts much quicker than agricultural lime to raise the pH. The high solubility of Agro-100’s nutriliming agents enhances the availability of nutrients required for early root development and plant growth. By stimulating early development, the nutriliming agent proKa®, in combination with regular fertilization, activates and sustains robust plant growth.

The plant’s capacity to take nutrients is limited, since less than 2% of soil surface is in contact with the roots. According to Barber (1995), diffusion, mass flow and interception contribute, respectively, for about 80, 18 and 2% of potassium delivered to roots. Through diffusion, potassium moves toward the roots’ surface in short distances. Plants cannot use potassium only from the soil solution. In fact, soil solution K concentrations vary from 1 to 10 ppm while the fraction of exchangeable potassium may vary from 20 to 1,000 ppm (Pagani et al., 2013). It is estimated that only 10 to 20% of the crop’s nutrition is ensured by soil solution and exchangeable potassium (adsorbed on the surface of clay particles). The remainder of the plant’s needs in potassium must be supplied by other sources. Potassium fertilization is thus essential. Solubility and distribution of the potassium applied are extremely important for potassium availability. The nutriliming agent proKa® provides potassium, in the readily available form of potassium sulphate, to complement granular fertilization. In its available form, calcium promotes plant growth and improves resistance to diseases. Sulphur, another key element of proKa®, is vital in plant development and its availability is crucial to the metabolism of crops. Sulphur input helps to maintain the right nitrogen-sulphur ratio in the soil for matter to decompose. Finally, proKa® supplies magnesium, the key element in photosynthesis (the central atom of chlorophyll), and activates many enzymes in the plant’s metabolism.

pH correction and top yields

KaLime® is a nutriliming agent rich in calcium, potassium, sulphur, magnesium, and minor elements. It is designed to correct the pH, enrich the soil with up to 5% potassium sulphate and supply optimum conditions for high yields. Products

Maintains the balance of cations in the soil

CalPoMag®, developed by Agro-100, is a nutriliming agent rich in calcium, potassium, sulphur, and minor elements, and it contains a much higher magnesium content than the nutriliming agents proKa® and KaLime®. Designed to correct the pH while preserving the ideal balance of potassium and magnesium, CalPoMag® is recommended for maintaining the balance of cations or for application in light soils, which are naturally poor in magnesium. Correctly identifying the soil’s need for CalPoMag® will help improve its performance, provide you with a competitive edge while reducing potassic fertilization expenditures. CalPoMag® prepares the soil to yield optimal results.

CalPoMag® is a multifaceted nutriliming agent: liming, revitalizing, and fertilizing. Since most plants perform better in a pH ranging from slightly acidic to slightly alkaline, lime application on acidic soil is a prerequisite for the optimal use of nutrients. CalPoMag® is composed of calcium hydroxide (Ca[OH]2) and calcium carbonate. Calcium hydroxide offers a kick-start effect with its rapid action on pH. The calcium carbonate will take over and stabilize the pH for a long-lasting effect. CalPoMag® surpasses calcitic lime (calcium carbonate [CaCO3]) by elevating soil pH much more quickly. Its agricultural index of 72% (dry matter) makes it highly recommended for acidic soils (recovery liming). CalPoMag®’s high solubility improves soil structure, ensuring good soil biological activity and greater nutrient availability, two features required for early root development and plant growth. By stimulating early development, the nutriliming agent CalPoMag®, in combination with regular fertilization, activates and sustains robust plant growth.

CalPoMag® is a very good source of soluble and readily available calcium, potassium, sulphur, magnesium and micronutrients. Calcium plays an essential role in the composition and growth of plant tissues, allows for better plant development and improves resistance to diseases and shocks. Greater calcium availability is particularly important in order to obtain greater yields. With its high calcium content, CalPoMag® limits physiological disorders associated with calcium deficiency (bitter pit in apples, blossom-end rot in tomatoes and peppers, tip burn in lettuce, etc.) and helps to produce fruits and vegetables that are better able to withstand preservation without any loss of quality obtained at harvest. With CalPoMag®, food is richer in calcium and proteins (sulphur effect).

Potassium performs important functions in the plant (water usage, storage of sugars, tolerance to drought, etc.). The nutriliming agent CalPoMag® provides potassium, in the readily available form of potassium sulphate, to complement granular fertilization.

CalPoMag® supplies sulphur which is vital to plant development. Its availability is crucial to crop metabolism, resistance to stress, and nitrogen assimilation to upgrade the value of fertilizers. Sulphur input helps to maintain the right nitrogen-sulphur ratio in the soil for matter to decompose. The reduction of atmospheric sulphur emissions and the use of sulphur-poor fertilizers generate a deficiency of this element in many crops. Sulphur deficiency in the soil leads to stunted growth and a loss in yield and quality at harvest, translating into a loss in revenue. Since atmospheric sulphur is no longer available, fertilization needs to be complemented with regular inputs of sulphur to ensure crop yield and quality. CalPoMag® is a cost-effective solution that addresses any crops’ needs in sulphur.

Magnesium, another key element of CalPoMag®, is the cornerstone of photosynthesis (the central atom of chlorophyll), and activates many enzymes in the plant’s metabolism. It plays a role in the transport and storage of sugars. CalPoMag® contains micronutrients such as boron, zinc, and manganese which help prevent deficiencies.

  • Direct and sustainable action on soil pH
  • Optimizes the effectiveness of fertilizers
  • Favours better usage of soil reserves
  • Simultaneously provides readily available Ca, K, Mg and S
  • Supplies essential minor elements in a readily available form to the plant
  • Improves yields and crop quality
  • Profitable and cost-effective fertilization input
  • Recommended for all crops, but particularly potato, tobacco, and cruciferous crops.

Protuber

Protuber

Boron at side-dressing

Nitro-B is a liquid nutrient for the soil that contains 10% of boron. It is specifically formulated to provide boron at side-dressing. Incorporated into an urea and ammonium nitrate (UAN) solution, to liquid starters and other agricultural inputs, it supplies boron in the same passage to be assimilated by the plant through the root system. Adding Nitro-B allows the addition of boron to the UAN solution. It must be applied based on soil or tissue analyses or as soon as deficiency symptoms appear.  For more information on Nitro-B, consult your agronomic adviser.

Nitro-B offers the advantage of applying boron in the right place, at the right rate and at the right time to ensure optimal yield. In corn, boron is an essential nutrient. It helps transfer sugars and nutrients to the flowers, improves pollination and the transfer of carbohydrates to the kernels. Boron accumulation occurs primarily through banded application of nitrogen solution. It is very important that a sufficient amount of boron is available during the corn pollination period, as research shows that 66% of boron uptake begins at the R1 development stage, the start of the reproductive stage.
